I stood beneath a cherry blossom

The soft petals raining down on my soul

One pulled me into view

Had it clambered for my attention?

No. I don’t think so.

I stood beneath a cherry blossom

The soft petals raining down on my soul

Suppose it wouldn’t do, all to fall at once

Slop like dead fish from a bowl

Delicacy requires choreography

I stood beneath a cherry blossom

The soft petals raining down on my soul

And why wouldn’t they know

See the result of their perfumed snow?

And yet, how hard to see from afar

The twirling blossoms that we are

beach bodies. Been thinking about beauty

Please?

Cradle me

Drape lilies at my feet and tie your dreams on my tongue

If I’m not yours

I’m done

I’ll-

I-

It’s hard to find words when all the words have been said

and your heart is broken and your bones are filled with lead

I-

I’m-

Vanity and fame

are not my game

But I’d play if it I knew how

I’m not just another backrub for a cow

You’re-

You-

You’re busy, I know.

But come visit soon.

Your face a moon to my seashell hide

I’ll make your wish come true next time-

You’ll see.

I’ll be a better wishing tree.
